this is quite similar to flash memory technology. I am dying to meet the new flash memory, cheap as the current DDR3 technology, that will allow us all to simply hibernate machines (something that windows xp and vista quite can do nowadays)

the drawback: Microsoft will have to spend more time working on memory-leak-free software, because no one will reboot the machine anymore. But virtualization (another interesting new trend - check the news about vmware and cisco) comes to the rescue.
